Gmail: Delete emails by filter
How to use Gmail search to mass-delete emails
- Navigate to mail.google.com
- In the search bar enter the search term
 before:01/01/2022
- Click the check box in the upper left corner of the email section.
 This will select only the emails currently shown. 50 emails by default.
- Click the trashcan icon to delete the selected emails.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until satisfied.
- Don't forget to empty the trash. You can use the filters for this too.
 in:trash
- Click the check box in the upper left corner of the email section.
- Click the 'Delete forever' button.
- Repeat steps 7 and 8 until satisfied.
